Terms of service

Last updated: March 29, 2026

Acceptance

By accessing or using Link Biscuit, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Link Biscuit provides URL shortening and optional hosted HTML pages. You are solely responsible for how you use these features and for complying with applicable law and third-party platform rules (including advertising, search, and social policies).

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Link Biscuit to:

  • Phish, distribute malware, or facilitate fraud or illegal activity
  • Mislead users, evade enforcement, or circumvent security or access controls in violation of applicable law or third-party terms
  • Harass, abuse, or infringe others' intellectual property or privacy
  • Overload, probe, or disrupt the service or other users

We may suspend or remove links, throttle traffic, or restrict accounts that violate these terms or create legal, security, or reputational risk. Report concerns via our abuse report page.

Accounts

Authentication is provided by Clerk. You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for all activity conducted with your credentials.

Content and licenses

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service (including security scanning and backups as we reasonably apply).

Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Link Biscuit and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for claims arising from the service in any twelve-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred US dollars (USD $100) or (b) the amount you paid us for the service in that period (if any). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims and liabilities arising from your content or your violation of these terms or applicable law, except to the extent caused by our intentional misconduct.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the updated terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice where required by law. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to your contracting entity, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive venue for disputes, subject to mandatory consumer protections where you live.
